Badger Bay and Wisconsin Health News hosted the first ever “Future of Healthcare Conference” on July 28.  Over 300 attendees from throughout the state attended the event in Madison at the Monona Terrace.

National speakers supplemented a series of panels focusing on the future of healthcare in Wisconsin.  This year’s keynote speakers included:

  • Ceci Connolly, Alliance of Community Health Plans CEO, shared her perspective on Congressional actions affecting healthcare in Wisconsin.  She predicts that although Congress will continue its debate on healthcare, it is unlikely to make major changes;
  • Dr James Hamblin, Senior Editor at The Atlantic, described the impact of social media on consumers’ view of their health; and
  • Charles Franklin, Director of the Marquette Law School Poll, presented information on the relationship between voter opinion on federal healthcare reform and the election.

A special thank you to all our sponsors and attendees this year.  Stay tuned for plans for our 2nd annual event in 2017!
